Why is there not a word about the meridian system of acupuncture in this documentary? If people understand the meridian system in acupuncture and its correlations to the various organs and body parts, all these testing and skeptics wouldn't be needed. Explain the meridian system and you don't need scientists to prove it right or wrong.

I am suspicious of modern medicine actually how a pill can effect the specific area? This is none sense the acupuncture is more logical to me in all ways. First of all there are specific areas for every problem not just a medicine that can effect several parts of the body when you take a pill and it is a problem for the body inner balance.

I don't think acupuncture is just the needle. The map of the human body, the body point corresponds to which organ.. this map is a huge and deep knowledge that the modern medicine can never ever be able to find. The thing about the modern doctors is that they did many desections on humans or on animals but they can't even achive a small step of traditional threatments. I prefer also callin the modern medicine 'alternetive' becaouse the traditional was the first, what you belive is wrong lady because even you did this research for the needles and found the effect clearly and still suspicious about it so you should definitly be more suspicious of the modern medicine which caused so many people death and the pragnent women to have babys without arms or legs.. The traditional threatments never did these kind of results in our age (maybe in early ages but it was maybe the price of the researches) so traditional is solid because they did pay the price of the findings and the modern is a little baby compared to that. This baby should pay the price whis I am not willig to be part of it. Also modern researches does not have the capacity to understand the traditionals I belive.

The patient we see in the opening scene who is claimed to be undergoing open heart surgery is smiling and awake with no tube in her airways. In the next shot we see a big gaping sternum splitting chest wound held open with a big retractor and we hear that open heart surgery is being performed on an awake person anaesthetised only with acupuncture needles. There is NO WAY a person can have such a wound and still breathe on her/his own. She would not be able to draw a single breath on her own. She would be dead without a tube down er airways and assisted breathing. This program starts out with a big fat, amateurish lie.

if you are so smart and you know that "placebo effect" is the reason behind the success cases, then why not give placebo instead of real medicine.

Well ladies and gentleman, Once upon a time I had severe pain in my neck and shoulder to the point that I couldn't hold my head up straight. I've always been a lifelong athlete and never went to the Dr. except to get stitches once before this terrible experience. I believe I probably had a pinched nerve that completely locked up all my muscles and continued to worsen over several weeks. I tried a chiropractor, physical therapist, an MD and was told something different by each one. I took muscle relaxers, strong pain meds, did numerous stretches and exercises that I was told to do and nothing but nothing stopped the slow progression of unbearable pain and suffering that I was experiencing. Pain got so bad I actually started thinking about suicide; Very dark days indeed! Someone finally told me about this country guy who did acupuncture on horses at his house for people and had supposedly helped others with pain. Because I knew the person telling me this story very well, I believed him when he said the arthritis symptoms in his hand disappeared after a couple visits to this man who stuck needles in his nuckles. In desperation I drove straight to this cowboy's ranch and found him in his horse stable. I asked him to please help me if he could and told him I was in great pain. He promptly and very unprofessionally whipped out a needle and began to roughly twist it into my back and shoulder in about 6-7 places. I felt a dull pain every time he did this but after 3-4 mins, I felt my muscles finally release and relax after being in knots for weeks and almost miraculously felt no more pain throughout these areas of my body. I took it easy over the next three days and fully recovered to this day, many years later. He didn't charge me a penny and I never saw him but that one time. Say what you want; believe if you want or not, but I feel that this man and whatever he did with that one tiny needle probably saved me a fortune if not my very life!! My advice to those in sever pain, as was I, would be to skip the fancy joint with all the incense burning and find someone who will stick that needle in there where it hurts and twist the shit out of it until you stop hurting!! Literally took less than 5 mins. P.S. He told me that acupuncture causes the brain to release our natural chemicals to the area that he "wounds" with the needle and that's actually what heals the body. I believe him!!!
